Swimming Lessons - Lifesaving Society Program
Following the transition to the Lifesaving Society Aquatic Programs in 2023, LIAC will be offering swimming lessons taught by fully certified Lifesaving Society Instructors:
Parent & Tot 1 - 3: for parents and children up to 3 years of age
Preschool 1 - 5: 5 preschool levels for children 3-5 years of age
Swimmer 1 - 6: 6 levels designed for children 5-12 years of age. This includes beginners and swimmers who want to continue developing their stroke technique
Rookie, Ranger and Star: The Swim Patrol program provides enriched training for those who are ready to go beyond learn-to-swim. Swim Patrol's three levels - Rookie, Ranger, and Star - continue to develop participants' swim strokes and provide the skill foundation that prepares them for success in the Society's Bronze medal awards.
A session of lessons is 10 days long and runs Monday through Friday mornings between 8:00 am and 11:30 am for 2 weeks. The summer is split up into four different sessions. With multiple sessions, swimmers can sign up for progressively higher levels throughout the same summer. On the first Friday of the session, midterm report cards are handed out. Then, at the end of the session, full report cards are handed out to each child.
